Walk-in Job Search Support

Updates to Job Search Support Walk-In Hours Starting January 2026

Do you have questions about available resources or preparing for your job search? Walk-in hours are available for you to meet with a Workforce Team Member to help you find the answers you are looking for. These sessions are flexible to cover what you need, including resume assistance, interview preparation and/or practice, job search guidance, and more.

Beginning January 5, 2026, Frederick County Workforce Services will update Job Search Support walk-in hours to a more predictable and convenient schedule designed to better serve the community. This change reflects our commitment to responsive service and timely assistance, helping clients receive support with minimal waiting times and clear expectations.

Under the updated format, Job Search Support walk-ins will be offered in 30-minute sessions, available every half hour starting at 10:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with the last session beginning at 1:30 PM.

Walk-in session times Monday through Thursday will be:
10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 1:00, 1:30

These regular intervals make it easier to plan your visit and help ensure sessions begin on time, so you get the most from each interaction.

This update benefits the community in several ways. The 30-minute format provides focused time with a Job Search Support team member to address immediate questions and move forward confidently. A consistent 30-minute schedule helps reduce waiting and improves access by spreading availability across midday hours. Knowing session start times in advance also allows clients to better plan transportation, arrive prepared with documents and questions, and make the most of their visit.

If your situation requires more than 30 minutes, staff will help identify next steps, such as scheduling a follow-up appointment or connecting you with additional resources that meet your needs.

Our goal is to provide timely, practical support and make it as easy as possible for you to get the help you need.

Clients who prefer to reserve a specific time in advance may schedule a Job Search Support appointment.

Please note: In the event of late openings, early closings, or other changes, walk-in hours may be adjusted. Check our Events Calendar or social media for updates on closures or schedule changes.
