Join us for Equipping Employers to Support Workers in Recovery, an interactive workshop designed to help executives, managers, HR professionals, and supervisors navigate the complexities of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This workshop will provide real-world strategies for implementing reasonable accommodations and fostering an inclusive workplace for individuals with SUD and mental health conditions.

This training will equip you with:
Strategies for developing streamlined policies & procedures for small and mid-size businesses, including sample policies and forms
An action plan to align policies and maximize support for workers with SUD and mental health disabilities
Sample ADA checklists, policies, and accommodation request forms
In-depth discussions on accommodations for mental health disorders, substance use disorder (SUD), and Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)
Access to local, state, and national employer resources
Beyond ensuring legal compliance, strong ADA policies improve recruitment and retention, creating a professional and welcoming environment for all employees, including those with disabilities.
Participation in this workshop will count toward your Recovery Friendly Workplace certifications and recertifications for current Recovery Is Good Business partners.

About the Instructor
Workshops will be facilitated by Robert A. Gunter, CWDP, President & CEO, and Erin Inman, Strategic Services Director, with BlueOps, Inc.
Bob Gunter is the founder and CEO of BlueOps, Inc., and he serves as the Equal Opportunity Officer and ADA Coordinator for the Frederick County Workforce Development Board and partner agencies, including Workforce Services, MD DOL, DORS, Social Services and the Frederick Community College for the past 7 years. He is regarded as a subject matter expert for disability-related matters including accessibility, nondiscrimination, inclusion, accommodations, Assistive Technology, Equal Opportunity, Equal Employment Opportunity, ADA/FEPA/WIOA requirements, workplace investigations, and similar matters. An experienced facilitator, Bob brings a variety of expertise to his workshops including as a paralegal, law enforcement officer and investigator, business owner, non-profit executive, government manager, Human Resources professional and ADA auditor. He maintains a Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP) credential from the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP). As a veteran of the U.S. Army and as an American living with disabilities, Bob is committed to inclusion & diversity and advocates for equal rights for all persons, including individuals with disabilities.
Erin Inman, Strategic Services Director, is the former Employment and Training Manager (WIOA Title I Adult & Dislocated Worker) for Frederick County Workforce Services. Erin brings over two decades of program management, grant funding oversight, policy development, labor market and employment analysis, and team empowerment to benefit our workshops. In past roles, Erin has also managed programs designed to provide direct support to individuals with disabilities. Erin’s leadership and people-driven approaches to program and event development deliver high quality, inclusive, and tailored deliverables for our government and private sector clients.

In past roles, Erin has also managed programs designed to provide direct support to individuals with disabilities.
