Tammy Goldeisen

In my role, I provide career coaching and job seeker support through one-on-one appointments as well as teaching workshop with crucial information to assist them in your preparation for landing a job. I create and maintain updated workshop information and collaborate with colleagues to lead the development and dissemination of employment resources across multiple platforms. What Do You Enjoy Most About Your Work?

I completely enjoy working with the community to support them on their journey to find a job. I consider myself their cheerleader from the beginning to the end, as I am a high energy person. I am always on the lookout for the most recent information so that I can keep providing the most up to date content to support them. Teaching has always been a passion of mine and seeing them leave a workshop with crucial knowledge just makes me smile.

What Does “Workforce Development” Mean to You Personally?

The services that we provide at FCWS are life changing for so many of our clients. We have the distinct pleasure of watching this evolve as they work with us directly. Truly, workforce development is a people-centered strategy that equips individuals with the skills, training, and support they need to succeed in the labor market—while also helping employers meet their talent needs. This is something that we are highly successful with in all aspects of the services we offer. It’s not just about job placement. It’s about building long-term career pathways, improving economic mobility, and strengthening the local economy through education, training, and employment services.

Share One Accomplishment, Project, or Moment That Makes You Proud of the Work You Do.

I have a Wall of Fame list in my cubicle of the clients that have met with me, or taken one of my workshops, or called me for that extra push of confidence to go into an interview, who have finally secured a job. This is complete and total satisfaction, celebration, and the motivation to move to the next client who needs my help. I am, and always will be, their biggest cheerleader.

What Is One Thing People Might Be Surprised to Learn About Your Role?

This role requires skills at teaching, skills with knowing what is best for a client, and most of all, patience and compassion because their stories can be heartbreaking. If someone in this role can go home at the end of the day and feel like they have made an impact on at least on client, that is success and they can get ready for the next day and the next challenge. That is what I do every single day. I reflect, decide how to be better, and move forward.
