I manage our Resilient Frederick County programs serving individuals in recovery, English Language Learners, and business partners who wish to learn how to create recovery-friendly workplaces.

What Do You Enjoy Most About Your Work?

I truly enjoy working with the jobseekers who come into the center, as they make progress towards their individual growth goals.

What Does “Workforce Development” Mean to You Personally?

Everybody comes into the center with different goals and needs, so workforce development broadly is providing access to training and services that support each individual meet the goals that will provide them with economic security and personal satisfaction in their professional life.

Share One Accomplishment, Project, or Moment That Makes You Proud of the Work You Do.

It really means a lot to me when I see people in recovery grow in their confidence and ability to gain meaningful employment. I love getting updates when I see them in the center or out in the community.

What’s One Thing People Might Be Surprised to Learn About Your Role?

The success of the Resilient Frederick County programming is dependent on community outreach and making sure that the individuals who would benefit from our services are aware that they exist. I really enjoy working with organizations in the community who spread the word about our services to their clients.
