Recruitment & Hiring Support
Brief Description
Post and promote job openings to access a broad pool of local candidates
Receive prescreened candidate referrals
Get customized labor market information to help with decision making
Host or participate in job fairs and hiring events
Use the Maryland Workforce Exchange (MWE) to manage postings and view resumes

Outplacement Support
Brief Description:
If your business is facing a layoff or closure, providing layoff assistance can benefit your workplace culture and help impacted workers in the next step in their careers. Our team can customize and outplacement services plan to help impacted workers transition easier.

Experience Frederick: Paid Internship Support
Brief Description:
Experience Frederick is designed to support employers that host paid work experiences for students and recent graduates. Eligible companies in high-demand industries can receive up to $3,000 per intern, with a $6,000 cap per business.

Frederick Business Works (FBW)
Brief Description:
Through the FBW program, you can develop your current employees with industry-recognized skills. FBW provides reimbursement for a portion of the cost of training.

Temporary Work Experience
Brief Description:
Temporary Work Experience (TWE) helps employers serve as host worksites for eligible jobseekers to gain hands-on experience in a structured work setting. This program gives participants the opportunity to build skills and workplace exposure while helping employers connect with potential talent.

On-the-Job Training
Brief Description:
On-the-Job Training (OJT) helps employers hire and train eligible jobseekers while receiving reimbursement for a portion of wages during the training period. This program supports skill development in a real work setting while helping employers grow their workforce.

Work Ready Summer Jobs Program
Brief Description:
Be a host worksite for a summer work experience. FCWS offers opportunities for Frederick County youth and young adults to gain meaningful onsite work experience with Frederick County businesses, all while getting paid through the county’s workforce grants. This program eliminates the financial burden for businesses, allowing them to host enthusiastic young workers at no cost.

Recovery Is Good Business
Brief Description:
Recovery is Good Business helps employers build more recovery-supportive workplaces through practical tools, training, and resources. This initiative supports businesses that want to strengthen workplace culture, better support employees, and learn more about becoming a Recovery Friendly Workplace.
