What Is Your Role at FCWS?

I support all customers and team members by ensuring funds are available and used to develop our workforce in Frederick County. I make certain we pay expenses related to customer training or support and utilize all grant funds to aid job seekers and businesses in Frederick County, whom our team members work with directly.

What Do You Enjoy Most About Your Work?

I have always loved working with numbers, and although I do not work directly with job seekers and businesses, I take pride in knowing that my work behind the scenes is making an indirect impact by managing the funds.

What Does “Workforce Development” Mean to You Personally?

To me, workforce development means creating opportunities for businesses and individuals to secure employment by providing essential resources, training, and support for a successful career path. It is truly inspiring and motivating to see the positive impact our services have on the community, providing growth and opportunities for Frederick County residents and local businesses.

Share One Accomplishment, Project, or Moment That Makes You Proud of the Work You Do.

While I can't pinpoint a specific accomplishment or project at this moment, I am incredibly proud of the impact our team has on our customers. Tracking expenses and vouchers has allowed me to witness firsthand the amazing work our team does. It’s incredible to see the variety of client training and support services we are able to offer.

What Is One Thing People Might Be Surprised to Learn About Your Role?

Our team currently manages over 20 different grant funding streams at any given time.
