Logistics and Production Program Free Training!
Are you interested in a career in logistics?
The Logistics and Production program is a FREE and robust training program designed to help job seekers gain the fundamental skills necessary to enter Frederick’s growing Transportation, Warehousing, and Logistics industry as a Certified Logistics Technician.
What is Logistics? The Basics
What is a Certified Logistics Technician?
A Certified Logistics Technician is a logistics professional who has demonstrated mastery of the core competencies of material handling at the entry-level to front-line supervisor roles. Logistics technicians are responsible for moving goods and materials from one location to another. They commonly work with various types of cargo, including everything from raw materials to finished products.
Logistics technicians use their knowledge of supply chain management to plan how best to move these items from point A to point B. This may include developing routes considering traffic patterns or other factors that could delay delivery. It may also involve coordinating with third-party vendors to ensure all necessary equipment is available.
