Salary Range: $15-$17 hourly

We are a specialty BBQ supply store dedicated to helping backyard cooks and competition pitmasters get the most out of their grills and smokers. From premium grills and smokers to rubs, sauces, fuel, and accessories, we provide expert guidance and hands-on customer service that keeps people coming back.

We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused team member who enjoys working with people and has an interest in grilling, smoking, and outdoor cooking. This Part-time role combines retail sales, customer education, light warehouse work, and event support.

An ideal candidate would look like a Retired or Semi-retired person in relatively good health looking to work a couple of days/week.  You enjoy talking food, helping people solve problems, and you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty. You understand that customer service isn’t about selling — it’s about building relationships. Bonus points if you’ve ever argued about lump charcoal vs. briquettes.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers and provide knowledgeable recommendations on grills, smokers, and BBQ accessories – we’ll train you.

  • Assist customers with product selection, including fuel types, thermometers, rubs, sauces, and tools

  • Explain features and benefits of premium grill brands

  • Operate point-of-sale system and handle transactions accurately

  • Restock merchandise and maintain attractive product displays

  • Assist with receiving inventory and moving grills (must be able to lift 25-40 lbs)

  • Support in-store events, demos, and classes

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment

Qualifications

  • Passion for BBQ, grilling, or outdoor cooking preferred

  • Retail or customer service experience helpful

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work some Saturdays and seasonal peak periods

  • Ability to lift and move merchandise / assist with grill assembly / some light delivery.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
