FCWS Spring 2026 Job Fair Connects Hundreds of Job Seekers with Opportunities
On April 29, Warehouse Cinemas was buzzing with energy and meaningful conversations as Frederick County Workforce Services (FCWS) hosted the Spring 2026 Job Fair. 40 businesses connected with more than 400 job seekers to discuss over 200 job opportunities across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, biotechnology, construction and trades, social services, banking and finance, manufacturing, and more.
Community resource organizations were also on site, sharing information about valuable local support services such as transportation, job search assistance, continuing education, and more. The FCWS Mobile Career Center was also available during the event, offering free resume help, application assistance, and information about FCWS programs and services.
Employers shared overwhelmingly positive feedback, citing a strong pool of candidates, productive conversations, and optimism about filling open positions. Job seekers echoed that enthusiasm, with many leaving the event with promising leads, new connections, and renewed confidence in their job search.
Following a successful debut last fall, raffle giveaways once again added excitement and energy to the event. Prizes donated by Golden Mile businesses—including free gym memberships, restaurant coupons, and movie passes—were raffled to attendees throughout the day. The giveaways not only created a fun atmosphere but also highlighted local businesses and strengthened community partnerships.
The next FCWS Job Fair will take place in Fall 2026.
