House Keys 4 Employees
Employers are joining CDA's newest homeownership initiative, House Keys 4 Employees, an employer partnership program, to help Maryland's workforce become homeowners through a creative match program with the State of Maryland. We highly recommend this program as a benefit to employees and an excellent retention tool. View the House Keys 4 Employees flyer for more information.
Tax Credits
Federal and State Tax Credits are available for qualifying businesses. Our staff can provide additional information on these programs and can help with the application process.
Grant Funding
Maryland Business Works (MBW) is an effort to support employer strategies for upgrading the skills of currently employed workers. The Program provides funds for businesses to train incumbent workers in specific skills needed by the business or industry. Training projects result in the workers’ acquisition of transferable skills or an industry-recognized certification or credential, and are intended to lead to potential career growth and increased wages to help with employee retention.
Through Maryland’s Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED), Partnership for Workforce Quality (PWQ) provides matching skill upgrade training grants and support services targeted to improve the competitive position of small and mid-sized manufacturing and technology companies. PWQ matching grants are made directly to companies as well as through a number of manufacturing, software industry and ISO 9000 consortia programs working in cooperation with Department of Business and Economic Development.
