Maryland Workforce Exchange

The Maryland Workforce Exchange (MWE) is an Internet-based system that matches businesses with job seekers. It is the State of Maryland’s database of jobs, similar to the private websites Monster and Career Builder, but on a local scale.

Once logged into the system, you will have access to both local and regional jobs. The system also provides extensive information for career changes and training opportunities. Your enrollment in the Maryland Workforce Exchange will provide you with access to other services and training programs available through Frederick County Workforce Services.

Need help navigating the Maryland Workforce Exchange (MWE)?

  • The Enoch Pratt Free Library offers an online tutorial on how to search for jobs using the MWE.
  • Frederick County Workforce Services created a cheat sheet on how to enroll in the MWE.

"I attended the orientation you offer each Friday. All the information that was presented was very useful - I learned good tips on how to tweak my resume according to the job announcement, I had sample questions from past interviews and the presenter helped me come up with possible answers and I learned how important it is to send thank you cards and e-mails. I gained more confidence, put what I learned to practice and was able to get what I applied for. Thank you!!!"
