The public is invited to review our Strategic/Operational Plan which describes the organization's strategy for implementing local workforce development initiatives during the next two years (July 1, 2007 - June 30, 2009). The plan includes sections on governance of the organization (i.e. the Frederick County Board of County Commissioners and the Workforce Development Board), staff delivery, performance management, and fiscal operations.

Maryland's Demand-Driven Two-Year Workforce Investment Plan for Title 1 of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 and the Wagner-Peyser Act for the period of 7/1/07 through 6/30/09 is now posted on the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (DLLR) web site under Workforce Development and with a link from What's New on the Governor's Workforce Investment Board site. A notice regarding the 30-day public plan review period was published in the Baltimore Business Journal on May 4 and The Baltimore Sun on May 6. Public input is requested. Please take this opportunity to review the plan and submit any comments to Sharon Harris (sharris@dllr.state.md.us) no later that June 6, 2007.

The Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation announces the public review and comment period for Maryland’s Strategic Two-Year Workforce Investment Plan for Title I of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 and the Wagner-Peyser Act.
The draft plan will be available beginning May 4, 2007 and ending June 4, 2007 on the department’s website, www.dllr.state.md.us under the Workforce Development/Workforce Investment Act link. A hard copy of the draft plan can be reviewed by appointment at the address below. Please call 410-767-2999 to schedule this appointment.
Comments must be received by the department no later than June 6, 2007 and should be emailed to sharris@dllr.state.md.us or mailed to the following address:
