Job Shadowing
 /

Interested in observing a career to see if you’d like it? Ever wonder what a career really entails? Ever wonder what it would be like to work in a certain environment?

Students 14-21 years of age have the opportunity to do some career exploration while shadowing a professional in the field of their career interest. Through hands-on learning, these students are able to gain practical experience and apply their education to the real world.

Previous Job Shadow Day sites have included Bechtel, AOPA, The Paul Mitchell School, Creative Colors, and the City of Frederick. Job Shadows are usually offered half-days, Monday through Friday.  Students interested would need to complete an application at Frederick County Workforce Services.
