Fort Detrick is a U.S. Army Medical Command installation that is home to 38 military and government tenants whose diverse, international missions provide extensive employment opportunities for Frederick County residents.

With 7,900 employees, including 1,300 active duty military, Fort Detrick is the largest employment campus in Frederick County.
